The Regatta

The 2021 Queensland Impulse Dinghy State Championship is being held at the Humpybong Yacht Club on Bramble Bay over the period 2nd - 3rd October. 

Sailed over 2 competition days, the program for the regatta is:

The Boat

The Impulse is a 4m single handed  person intermediate sailing dinghy . It has a design that appeals to the person wanting a piece of the sailing action without going overboard on costs.The dinghy was originally designed by Arthur Caldwell in Melbourne Australia during the mid-1970s as a home built plywood sports sailing dinghy. A competitive Impulse Dinghy's hull can be built at home with commonly available tools by an amateur boat builder or it can be purchased ready to sail from a professional boat builder.
